Root Your Android The Easiest Way With VISIONary

As you all know that I have recently switched to Android from Symbian and as every other mobile OS, it has some hidden features which can be gained only by hacking or rooting it. I wrote about how to hack Nokia firmware and now as I have switched to Android, I am writing about the easiest way I have found to root the Android OS with a very minor risk or no risk at all. Let me know if you were able to root your Android or not!

Rooting an Android device lets you have an access to the root directory and it will also install a super user application which is required to use some of the android application like shootme, titanium backup etc. All these application requires root access without which they can’t perform the operation and in a normal Android device, this feature is disabled so you need to root your phone.

While searching about how to root android device, I found this useful application made by Paul O’Brien of @Modaco which was able to root my android successfully and it supports many more devices other than my HTC Desire HD. The application has been removed from the market so you may Click Here to download it.

Root Your Android The Easiest Way With VISIONary

Follow the below given steps and it will root your Android device :

  1. Install VISIONary+
  2.  Run it (Enable “Set system r/w after root” only if you want to edit system files)
  3. Click on “Temproot Now” and wait for a while and let it process
  4. Once its done, Click on “Attempt Permroot Now”
  5. If it is supported with your device, your phone will reboot and it will be rooted permanently.
If your device isn’t supported by this application then it will failed to permroot your device and you will have to root your device every time you reboot your phone. Try it with your device and let me know if it works.

Note

Try this at your own risk though there is only a minor risk attached to it and formatting your phone may solve the issue.Do leave your comments and feedback on it and let me know if it worked for you or not. Thanks.
