Fly Mobile To Launch Four Android Handsets In India

The demand for Android phones is rising all across the globe and India is no exception. Several cell phone manufacturers are coming out with Android handsets in order to tap the Android phone market. The latest to join the Android bandwagon is UK based cell phone manufacturer Fly. Fly has announced its plans to launch four Android handsets in the country which will be priced between Rs 7000 and Rs 10,000. All the four handsets will be equipped with 5MP camera and will run on Android 2.2 (Froyo).

Emphasis On Video And Media Capabilities

Apart from reasonable pricing Fly has also put emphasis on video and media capabilities of the phone. The phones are slated to be released during the third quarter of 2011 and the timing is quite appropriate considering the fact that by the year end most of the mobile phone carriers will be coming out with 3G services in the country.

Fly is also planning to launch India centric application store by the end of this year from where users can download their favorite application on the phone. What is important to note is the pricing of these phones. Most of the Android handsets in the country from vendors like Nokia, Samsung etc are quite expensive but at the same time Android phones from companies such as Micromax are priced well below Rs 10,000.
